This growing optometrist practice was suffering from a problems with their physical cabling and a poorly implemented wireless network.
After a review of the existing network it was clear that they were experiencing severe declines in bandwidth on the wireless network. This was caused by another wireless network on the same channel! This proved to be the easiest problem to resolve.
The physical cabling required a new network switch relocated to a spare office. The original switch was situated at the feet of one the billing clerks! By relocating the device and running new cables, the network dramatically improved.
